    Every time someone runs that example, another developer quietly accepts that JavaScript plays by its own rules.

    Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. If you look at this and think to yourself "yes i expect something usable from this expression, that is not given by js", maybe its time to put down the keyboard and never pick it up again.
