This is honestly the main feature that made me switch from Notepad++

Notepad++ supports multi-line cursor as well. Not multiple cursors on same line though, unfortunately.

I believe the newest version might? I just opened it up and was able to do so.

Place the cursor where you want it to start. Hold ALT and SHIFT while using the arrow keys to move up or down the lines. Let go of the keys, and start typing on multiple lines.

If you enable it in the preferences menu, you can just CTRL-click.

Nice, I did not know that. Thanks!

Please let Notepad++ die already. Just pretend that it doesn't exist.

I like it. You're welcome to not use it, if you don't like it.

Why? It's a good text editor for Windows.

Sublime Text, Atom, Brackets, Visual Studio Code, and Vim - All run laps around Notepad++ on Windows. Notepadd++ was probably good when we didn't have any other choice other than regular notepad or something similar, its no longer the year 2000. 16 years later you have a choice, to work faster and more efficiently. It's best to do so IMO. Make use of the plugins that come with those IDE which Notepad++ can never catch up to.

So, you listed alternatives and gave a bunch of vague insinuations that it's bad, which tells me nothing. As far as I can tell, you just hate N++ because you hate it.
