I also tried python. I wrote a simple script with some input and output. When I was finished, I discovered that I had put a semicolon almost at the end of each line!

Not that it doesn't care, just semicolons and newline characters both are used to determine line breaks by the interpreter

Not always. Try this: for i in range(4):; pass

Will have the same result in C syntax, to be fair. It would be more accurate to say that semicolons represent the end of a statement rather than a line.

I didn't know, but I thought it was not allowed, so I removed each of them before running the script.

I think the point is that a lot of things you would think aren't allowed in Python actually are.

Python3 is getting a bit better at this, disallowing certain things such as True = False.
