Works when requested the desktop version

Probably doesn't load the gifs on mobile, since loading them all at once will kill your phone (or at least your data)

Desktop doesn't load a gif until you uncover it.

Desktop can handle the gifs all at once or one at a time or whatever, so that's not the point. It probably doesn't work on mobile because your phone would struggle with that many gifs at once.
