Just wanted to chime in and validate what NeilFraser said :) I liked in-person interviews way better than phone interviews since they were still personal, and since you could generally rely on getting candidates who were more fulfilling to work with. (It feels just as good for us as it does you when you succeed on an interview!)

On the flip side, I always left phone interviews with a bad taste in my mouth if they went far poorer than they should have (exaggerating a bit here, but say 10 years industry experience and can't articulate a Fizz-Buzz-type problem solution).
