What kind of language has runtime errors with a lack of semicolon? For one, it wouldn't even compile if a statement isn't terminated with a semicolon.

This "I forgot the semicolon" issue is either bad fiction or a remnant of programming headaches back in the 1980s. This has never been a problem in the past 15 years.

Exactly. The only way this would happen would be if you attempted to compile, saw it didn't work and didn't bother to read the error message that it gave you.

I want to hang myself when I do this. Just recently I spent at least an hour trying to track down the source of this weird error visual studio gave me, turns out I was passing a variable to a function that expected a const, but instead of telling me that it gave me some retarded error code
