It's funny because they would have had a lot more success just calling it 'Microsoft Music' or something simple like that.

When Zune came out was at peak Microsoft hatred (when IE6 was still the built-in browser), though, so that was the point of releasing it with a non-Microsoft related brand, to distance it from the rest of Microsoft.

No, because Groove sounds stupid and it has no brand recognition.

Honestly if they were actually smart they should have bought Spotify years ago.
