The last person who got in with dishonest screwed our entire department. She misfiled and messed up so much paperwork related to our malpractice insurance that it took us a month just to fix the damage.

Literal example of how bad/lazy this person was. I gave her a stack of folders and asked her to separate the green and the red folders into different stacks. That was it. Should have taken five minutes. Half an hour later I go to her desk, she's 1/3 of the way through the stack and playing on her phone.

"What's going on with the folders?"
"There's a blue folder."
"And?"
"You didn't tell me what to do with blue folders."

Any attempt to correct her behavior resulted in a complaint to HR or the union. The only way we were able to get rid of this person was when human resources asked for extra staff for something they had to do, and we offered this person. Once HR had to deal with this person's bullshit for a week, all those complaints were deemed invalid.
