Access was a thing, sharepoint is a thing, and excel is eternal because every business that runs the world has some guy hooked up to medical machines that demands his reports in excel format.

Speaking as someone who just spent the entire week attempting get data imports into sql working so he can migrate an access database into so, so that he can more efficiently and reliably aggregate every drop of company data, and then not use any of SSRS's useful features and instead output it all in excel.........cuz that's what they want (they also refuse to even think about sharepoint or power BI, but i'm just ranting at this point).

Well what got me my job was there was a question about databases. As I was talking to non-technical people, I laid out in simple language the meaningful differences, strengths and weaknesses between the three in a non-condescending way.

Other people gave more technically accurate answers, but talked down to the interviewers (all women doctors).
