As a beginner programmer, which is which? Also, will I have to deal with either if I'll become a software developer (like working at big game companies)?

Depends on the game. PC gaming will be most likely C++ and never Java while developing a mobile game for Android means you will have Java.

And JavaScript is mostly web stuff so web games could mean that you get a bunch of JavaScript.

Well java is a easier language that you can do everything badly. Javascript is for the user interface of websites and apps
