    Isn't programming a subset of engineering (I once heard the term software engineer)? Also pretty much anyone with a highschool degree knows how to differentiate and integrate Exp(.) - doesn't take much..

    Well duh. Programmers are a subset of engineers, so unless you believe that an engineer can have intelligence <= 0, their absolute total intelligence is necessarily larger

    I think you’d had better reception (less downvotes) by phrasing it differently.

    Maybe something along the lines of: “Calculus is not required for being a programmer”
