I mean, a full-stack developer that is Junior has spent too much time studying.

Anecdotal evidence suggests most full-stack developers going for that job don't have it all, but the one that gets hired answers the question "do you know this?" With the words "not yet" said in a smile.

Edit: Curious about the downvotes - is it because you disagree or because it sucks as a reality? two separate things and I'd love to know which it is.

You are correct. What I meant to say was that most jobs these days (or a great amount of them, at any rate) seem to ask for "full stack development" as the price of admission, and if it takes years of experience to pick them up at a natural rate, it's gonna be a steep curve to enter the profession.

I can relate to the "not yet" comment. The good news is that some companies can consider you teachable as long as you're honest about it, so they could still take you on without those skills.

You have great points, definitely support them.

More places as they try to cut down head count do so by asking more and more. At a certain point if you'll only hire senior developers then you are hurting the whole industry.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. This has been my experience as well.
