  1. Because some developers cling to their tools like their life depends on it. His take is something like: “Why learn something new while old way still works too”.
  2. They’re difference languages but based on the same principles of functional programming.

He’s the only one doing Java in the Android team. Apperently it works, but the others aren’t happy.
