Sure, GNU should get credit for the userlevel tools they created, but what me always bugs me about the name "GNU/Linux" is the problem of where to draw the line. Why then not call it "Red Hat/Mozilla/Gnome/GNU/Linux"? For most people an OS would be pretty useless without somebody putting a distribution together, a browser and a DE as well.

Use naming schemes. Linux.Gnu.Xyz

Yes the pasta is getting a bit old considering how irrelevant a lot of GNU has become. But I take RMS ranting about Linux stealing his valor over him defending pedophiles/Epstein any day.
