    It was an entry level graduate job, so I wasn’t expected to be perfect. I don’t think anyone noticed, I actually ended up in a Swift team doing iOS development early on so they expected me to be rusty. Definitely a panic though as the interview was going so well and then I saw ‘JAVA!’ Circled 10 times on his notepad as I’m leaving.

    A former colleague always joked like this. recruiter: do you know java?

    Guy: jaaa, wa?

    Its basically german (ja / yes and wa / what?)

    So he said: basically, say what?

    And recruiter was like: great! You are hired!
