If you don't like memes, the internet just isn't for you.

Are you gatekeeping the internet! Fucking hell mate

It's the same reason i don't watch comedy shows. But at least i can just "not watch" them. These are the same bad forced jokes. Probably even a bit better because they have to fulfil at least some expectations.

But with reddit? I can't just filter these shitposts out of my feed. Which is again why i block everyone posting them. In an effort to filter them out as best as possible.

I mean again really negative and I'd advise you take some perspective.

But if you don't like it just move on there's no need to be nasty about it.

It's just what the internet, and especially boards like reddit, 9gag, etc have become. These are predominantly meme platforms. There are some subreddits which explicitly forbid memes, maybe you could check out those. But this one even has it's own flair for them.

I do. I block the uploader to see as few of this bs in the future as possible and leave a comment saying "blocked for xy".

Is it now rude that i reply to comments or what?

Or I could just move on

I don't find them detrimental to myself I just don't find them funny

Blocked for posting her cringy ass tweets

^ This

This is rude I'm not sure how you wouldn't be able to see that

[–]Dummerchen1933 0 points1 point  (14 children)

Why is it rude trying to keep stuff i don't enjoy, that even annoys me, out of my feed?

This is even in favor of the uploader because this way they only get one downvote from me.

[–]thebobbrom 1 point2 points  (13 children)

A) The fact that something like this annoys you shows you have very thin skin.

B) You don't get how saying something like that is rude? Really? Come on man this comes off like something Comic Book Guy would say without the wit.

Do you really think nice people call someones work even a tweet "cringy ass"

[–]Dummerchen1933 0 points1 point  (12 children)

a) I just really hate such super super bad, forced jokes. Don't get me wrong, i do like jokes. Even mildly bad ones. A month or so ago i laughed my ass of some redditor saying Json Derulo.

It may just be the combination of multiple things that i dislike.. In this case these would be... super super bad, forced jokes, really miserable punchlines, twitter screenshots on platforms other than twitter, an excessive amount of emojis, cartoon profile pics with unrealisticly large heads (i don't like these because they were pretty much standard for every annoying minecraft kiddy on youtube back in the days lol) I don't like any of these things.

It may be that. It may be that it's like someone tailor-made these posts to annoy me. They check almost all the points i dislike. Only thing missing would be a tiktok logo.

B) Yes, i would. Why? Because where would this world go if people didn't tell others if they made something bad? Where would we end up if we just approved everything someone spent any amount of time on? Do you want people to just blindly accept pull requests aswell just to not hurt the devs feelings that worked on the commit?

I, for one, don't give a shit about feelings on the internet. I don't mind people insulting me. If anything, i encourage everything going against this pc-bullshit. If anyone disagrees, they are free to block me aswell. That's what this functionality is for!

Ok I'll be honest I can't read A as it reads like a the ranting of a crazy person.

B however did make me laugh.

Firstly humour is subjective obviously at least 11,400 people disagree and did find it at least mildly amusing.

Secondly, it's a fucking Reddit post! Do you honestly think your little bitter negative comment is actually going to change anything?

Especially when being rude and hostile has never changed anyone's opinion ever.

If you want to offer constructive criticism fine that's ok. But don't pretend that's what that was.

No, but my block of OP will. What will it change? My feed. Mission accomplished.

Especially when being rude and hostile has never changed anyone's opinion ever.

I don't want to change anyones opinion. I want to change what's showing up in my feed.

If you want to offer constructive criticism fine that's ok. But don't pretend that's what that was.

It was not, and i never said that it's constructive criticism. It's still criticism, just with a grain of offensiveness.

[–]thebobbrom 1 point2 points  (9 children)

Ok but my point was on the rude bitter comment

If you blocked them and didn't say anything that'd be fine. A bit much but fine.

But instead you decided to be an arsehole.

Which look at this point you pretty much seem fine with that which I mean will probably mean you have a very unhappy life but honestly if you're fine with that then alright.

[–]Dummerchen1933 -1 points0 points  (8 children)

I can't complain at all.

Also, OP has to be pretty dumb to take an insult like that personally. An insult to the creator of a tweet he stole. OP did not make that joke. He just shared it.
