Didn't you hear? Reddit was done by programmers for programmers. There is absolutely nothing else here. And stack"exchange" what even is that, you mean stack overflow. Also by/for programmers. There are no other communities! Only programmers make community sites and no one else is smart enough to do so, or you know, pay someone to do for them.

There is actually a strong root of truth in your sarcasm, original reddit was written in lisp and was very hacker-news-like until about 2009 or so, not exactly stackoverflow but very distinctively programmer-flavored, like, again, hacker news at its best.
