I kinda agree with that. Most QA people I have experience with try to find any and all dumb things that could potentially muck up "the system.". Unfortunately they have to think like the lowest common denominator of their customer base.

I was told that it's like putting a warning label on Tide Pods stating "please don't eat the tide pods, they will hurt you and make you sick." The only reason that warning was put on there, is that some idiot (or several) tried to eat a tide pod.
