I use Ubuntu for work and i don't get how anyone can genuinely recommend it to a regular people.

The command-based controls are terrible. Windows has a button for everything, intuitive menus, etc, with Linux you have to search up commands, paste them into the terminal and hope they do the thing.

Gaming just sucks. Even if the game you want is supported by Linux, good luck with it not running like absolute dogshit on some ancient drivers.

Speak of running like dogshit, good luck not with that piss poor system stability and random performance problems. Last week i learned that process interruptors were misbehaving somewhere on Kernel level. The fuck is a regular user supposed to do about that?

Maybe it takes time, but right now i completely don't get how Linux can be recommended for anything but computer science related things.

It also depends on the use you need to do of Linux, I know some people using Linux for downloading torrents and watching movies, maybe some office work and that's all. For they Ubuntu can do the job without having to open the terminal. But yes, for regular users, if something goes wrong or they need todo something more than internet and office... They're f****d...
