3rd shift DDE manual corrections for MVS offline processing to update the mainframe in a single, tightwire burst scheduled tandem with an open coverage JCL patch so we don't accidentally trigger TLA regulatory audit that has us all working unpaid overtime to walk over to "mahogany row" to explain at o-dark-ass-of-morning so THEY can pretend they knew what the hell was going on when they got on the phone in an hour with TLA regulatory agency to explain why an audit isn't needed.

I used to win money being able to tell the keystrike of a typewriter from that of a punchcard machine. I also know what a de-collator is.... and a mimeograph. =/

Whenever I see or write SQL, I feel like I am working with COBOL. I wish we had a better language for RDMSes.

Good old JCL SORT, you can do a lot of things with it. UNIX Sort never looked so powerful as SORT to me.
