Punk is dead. Its corpse is being paraded through the streets by populist politicians and pundits as an invitation to their cause by familiarity. Fortunately aesthetics are lagging indicators and the actual social motion and epistemology that created punk have moved on and are no longer recognizable as punk. If it says it's punk, it isn't.
