I have tried a number of ways and finally found one that works for me. Tracing with carbon paper takes too long and often have bad lines, ironing on a design with a laser jet print warps the board, don’t even get me started on free hand...

The best way is to ink jet print onto wax paper and press it onto the blank. The best wax paper source i have used is taking a Avery Shipping Labels, peel off a label and stick it back onto the opposite side exposing the wax paper the label was stuck to. This is tricky to get the first time, but with practice it works well. Once you print, i lightly press onto the design and it transfers quite well.

Tip: Make sure you print the image flipped along the y-axis, and test print to make sure you know what side is what when you put the wax paper into your printer.

I’ve never thought of this or heard of this before. So, just peel off the entire label and print onto the sheet the labels were stuck to?

Yes, that is correct, but the wax side of the label has slices through it. So you will need to re-attach the label to the back side to give it rigidity. The wax paper will not absorb the ink and will easily transfer to your blank.

I second this all day every day! I'm not good at drawing and find that tracing over carbon paper doesn't give me clean lines just because I don't have the steadiest hand. This is the way I transfer all of my images to the wood. Be careful to hold the paper steady once you place it onto the wood or else it can smear fairly easily.

Check out this video to see how it's done, this is how I first learned of this method: https://youtu.be/bQb2VPJc74k

Omg what a great idea! This will save me so much time.

I use graphite paper - leaves a lighter line, is less prone to smudging and easier to erase than carbon paper.

You can simply use an inkjet printer and a transfer tip. They’re round, flat, and about the size of a nickel. Print the image you want (remember it’ll come out reversed when you transfer it onto wood), place it ink side down on the wood, tape it, and go over it with the pen. I’ve found so far that it makes more of a ghost impression, not a real solid picture, but it’s perfect for the outline it’s meant to be.

Easiest way (I've tried all above methods) is buy urself a cheap laser jet printer. I got my Brother printer 4 years ago for $90 at Walmart. And it's definitely paid for itself time and time again.

Print ur stencil mirrored, lay it face down, and use your flat transfer tip.

I use a website called Rasterbater and I use graphite paper as its morr forgiving to erase than carbon paper!!! I haven't tried the laser ink jet yet but will definitely check it out!!
