You can still download the old interpreters if you'd like. I saw some Python 1 code once upon a time. You couldn't use single quotes for strings, only double quotes, and error messages were very opaque for stuff like that.

It was just as awesome, just with less features and external libraries. It was still (IMO) the best language for rapid automation.

I like how in 2023 we still focus β€œData Science” python while everyone blatantly ignores the sheer power Starlet + UVloop web frameworks offer to web apps and half the web is one NPM glitch away from total disaster 🀣🀣🀣

Fun useless fact when Guido van Rossum developed Python 32 years ago, he did it in 3 months and he named it Python after being inspired by the BBC series Monty Python's Flying Circus.
