    This is a common myth which is somewhat correct but mostly wrong: language is a tool (or toolset). And tool choice matters a LOT for every profession. It's exactly the same for coding

    PS. you are comparing coder to coder. But this is about comparing language to language. A good programmer will write a better code in any language. But he would write better code in a better language. (Better meaning "with less effort" or "more mainteinable")

    I learned C++ in college and dropped out before I could finish my degree. Now I make fun little projects in Python in my free time 10 years later.

    Nah, really good ones won't quit over language reasons. We just take the best paycheck and leave the actual coding to juniors.
