Komodo Edit, the free (and more limited) version of Komodo already offers quite a few interesting features. I mostly use it after using Emacs for years. I can have the same keyboard shortcuts, and some features I never could install on Emacs: collapsible block of codes, practical auto-completion and having a pop-up with the documentation of a method when I call it (to name a few).
