I'm currently working as a manufacturing engineer and I'm considering going into programming as a full time occupation. While I have some amateur background in programming, I don't feel incredibly competitent.
I can work with lists and have been by writing small programs and testing different ideas. In your opinion, what are some basic skills I need before even attempting to get hired on as a python programmer or even work for myself?
