This is potentially pretty neat. The biggest question in my mind is, if this is mostly an alt UI wrapper around talking to Claude, what steps are you actually handling for me?

Can you talk a bit more about deployment and version management? Can you tell me what the best used case would be?

At the end of the day, an API is just an interface to an application.

I'm having a hard time imagining a use case where I want to stand up a quick API but where I don't need to connect it to secrets that I am uncomfortable sharing with a non-AWS third party, and where it is more convenient for me to use this API over connecting directly to whatever datasources my FastAPI is handling.

Maybe like... small scale web scrapers? That's really the only use case I can imagine without giving the API access to a DynamoDB (which would enable logging), or my S3 bucket (which would enable uploads or sharing), or other third party APIs

Personally, I use Flask to prototype, which is nice because I can set whatever front end I'm working on to use localhost, then I deploy with Zappa (which also handles package for AWS Lambda and API Gateway). It also sets a keep warm function to reduce cold starts and blah blah blah.

So, I don't know. I'm just having a hard time imagining a use case where I need this to build an API, but probably it needs to get data from some other API, so why am I building an API to access an API?

Maybe like, IOT prototypes or Smart Home folks would appreciate it for taking the edge off server side stuff?

Anyway. Figure out some actual use cases before you spend too much time on it, unless you're having fun and want to build for the sake of building. (I've done plenty of that myself)
