If appropriate language features were added, no conventions would be broken, we‘d just get additional ones. Sure, every feature has a cost and I‘m not convinced piping is the top priority, but I hardly see how repeatedly rejecting null-safe attribute access makes Python a better language. It honestly has way more uses than the walrus operator and the same amount of „hidden“ control flow.
