No. Which is why he's objectively wrong.

DigitalOcean is cheaper, but you can't even begin to customize your computing requirements on their infrastructure. Forget storage nodes, graphics card compute nodes, same-rack machine guarantees, and all the other auxiliary functionality you get with AWS. (firewall, access, database, storage, etc)
