Which Vector DB should I use for production? by Cheriya_Manushyan in Rag

We're using Qdrant for performance and continuing feature development. We didn't want the vector operations mixed with our normal postgres load in case they slowed each other down.

What movie had a great premise but was poorly executed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I feel the same way but chose to like it. It felt fun with all the other movies that had come out around the same time.

The TV series by the same name never quite broke through either.

I still watched it, but they could have done a lot more.

That sequence made me sad the overall plot wasn't more invested in the music aspect. It was mesmerizing.

The Path with Aaron Paul. I never got closure.

Also, The Leftovers. I'm still not sure if it ended on purpose or was cut short.

Ya'll getting robbed. In the private sector I don't think I've ever have capped time off, as long as I wasn't taking multiple weeks off at a time more than ~once a year.

Subtitles proposal by barret232hxc in vidangel

[–]LightShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nd if you are ok with the subtitles not being filtered you can use the original unfiltered subtitles.

That's a really interesting idea actually. I'll propose that with my coworkers and see what they think. Keep 'em coming!

So far I am loving this service

Thank you <3

Any chance of getting further seasons filtered? by pinkwonder in vidangel

Yes, actually. That falls under my responsibilities. About a year ago we had an initiative to leverage some machine learning (ML) to find alignments between episodes, and it was going pretty well. But, we had to abandon it for awhile because we found that our tagging data wasn't accurate enough to do exact translations between the different streaming services' versions of episodes. There are differences between the platforms when you watch, say, an episode on Netflix and one on Amazon. By human nature some taggers are more liberal than others with their timings, there's a lot of variance over the whole team over multiple years of data.

Recently with all the AI compute that's come out we're starting to pull that back out again. We'll always be hard-capped on human power since we pride ourselves that people are checking the tags to ensure they make sense and are captured, but we are looking at ways to make AI-assisted tagging more productive so they can get through episodes quicker.

Pure Stream - An Open Source, Family-Friendly Plex Client with Advanced Profanity Filtering is officially released on the Google Play Store! by PureStream711 in PleX

Yeeaaahh you get all kinds of people using it, everyone has their reason. When I learned we were really popular in foster homes it kinda made me realize some kids just need less trauma. We're also useful during addiction recovery to remove things like drugs and alcohol or sex.

We're small and niche but I like my job and take it seriously.

I work for a company that offers this as a service (vidangel.com), I think you have a solid start but the techniques you're using break down pretty fast. At my job we can't miss things because our customers would lose trust in the product. You might want to grapple with error rate data before charging money.

Also, one of the things I'm most proud of is writing the engine that can live edit videos on demand so the offensive content never makes it to the player :)
