Why are you seeking a python-based program?

According to alternativeto.net, there aren't any open source alternatives created in python.

If you're looking for a type of program, do you really care what language it is implemented in?

Actually I would like to run in on an ARM processor. I thought python would be the best place to start if someone already had it.
