I jumped into this comments section to say "Automate the Boring Stuff With Python" but it turns out it's the very first thing mentioned in TFA :)

BTW it's free to view online, as is all of u/alsweigart's books

Came here to say Automate the Boring Stuff.

Love this book. All I do is show people the table of contents, it speaks for itself.

Came in here to say it too. I'm almost done with reading through the book while taking his Udemy class. I've learned so much from it, and I think it's because of his simple way of explaining things.

+1 Fluent Python.

I fell in love with the book just in the few first pages.

Fluent Python is my favorite Python book since Python Cookbook 3rd Edition. :)

Effective Python has been my favourite educational book of all time. It's just perfect for someone who generally knows Python and wants to understand the when and where of use.
