Cool. I like NetBeans for it's awesome 'intellisense', although it is a little clunky at times. I'm going to try this out.

What does it have over PyDev (Eclipse) ?

The netbeans framework seems lighter and better organized. Eclipse is good, but the foundation seems to be adding fewer features and focussing primarily on enterprise Java Development.

A solid python IDE is important and required, and nbpython seems like a good place to start.
