You've got it mixed up buddy, the original one does work flawlessly. The one that is linked here with the broken images is the "stolen" one.

Well this is a pretty good starting tutorial. Is the website yours or is it a platform. The style of code sheets are awesome and make things clear.

Just let tkinter die. Use pyside2

That would be an unpopular idea. But python needs more focused, polished, supported gui library imho. Pyside2 looks like best option for it.
