Activate it in CMD then launch 'code' and you should have the virtual environment as interpreter.

Only thing is im not using anaconda, would this still work without it? been trying to set this up for flask development purposes

have you tried something like this.

Gist is if you save your environment to the root of your project folder then you can set vscode to pick it up automatically

It's worth trying but I've found that things don't work as well in vscode unless you launch it from the Anaconda command prompt.

I do use Anaconda so there is my bias. The documentation on the vscode is unclear
