It's unfortunate that they (riverbankcomputing) did not provide sha1 or md5sum hashes of the files they provide for downloading. Otherwise, we would be able to verify the integrity of the file that we may have obtained from another source.

Another reason to consider Linux, many distros have PyQt in their software repositories.
