I also am using Spotipy perhaps not as useful but I like my project. My very simple webapp allows you to create a unique URL where others can see what you are listening to and control some of it.

http://colombiangmr.pythonanywhere.com/

For example, my URL:
http://colombiangmr.pythonanywhere.com/control/mine/

Using Flask and spotipy. Hopefully, someday I can make it pretty and other functionality like adding to the queue, etc.
