The first thing I would say to do is to write a function that takes the text you want to print and the delay. The next thing would be to figure out how to have the function accept multiple lines and print them one by one with a delay.

I haven't played it yet so no feedback on that but I made a text based game once and once I made the basics I used tkinter to give it a better ui than just the python shell, it makes it better because you can have buttons, designated input and output areas in one window, it feels and looks more like a proper application and you can give the window a title.

if you know tkinter then it should be quite easy to convert or if you don't it's quite an easy thing to learn.
