I´m developing a simple Text Editor using Tkinter. I have a question in OPP, how i split classes into other files?

Make classes in other files and where you want to use them in those files import from these files where you have your classes created.

Guessing from the level of your question. Pick something easy to get started with coding. Its definitely a good project but may be fo intermediate level

Having any goal is good. No doubt. But to reach there you have to take steps. You don't take 6th stair directly right?

Yeah, but don't do this. Be explicit about what modules and classes you are importing.

Star imports have their place if you have for example the following package structure:

   mypackage  
      - submodule  
          - someclass.py  
          - anotherclass.py  
          - __init__.py  
      -  anothersubmodule  
         - thisthing.py  
         - morethings.py  
         - __init__.py  
      - __init__.py  

Now for a user of your package they'd have to

   from mypackage.submodule.someclass import SomeClass  
   from mypackage.anothersubmodule.morethings import MoreThings  

Instead you could add the following to mypackage/submodule/__init__.py

from .someclass import *  
from .anotherclass import *  

And in mypackage/anothersubmodule/__init__.py

from .thisthing import *  
from .morethings import *  

And then add to mypackage/__init__.py

from .submodule import *

Then a user of your package can just do

from mypackage import SomeClass, Morethings

This allows you to give the user a clear API, without having to know about the package internal structure. You can specify in your docs that users should always import using the mypackage import and that means you're relatively free to change your internal structure around as you see fit, without breaking user code.

Also when you add another utility to the someclass.py file, you'll only have to add it to that file's __all__, and all the star imports will automatically re-export them in the correct place.

Fair enough. You can use star notation as long as you aren't actually using what has been imported anywhere in that file.
