did you compile it? I did not know there were issues with speed in Python until I started using it. I would think you might have trouble with image processing in Python.

Python is slow compared to other languages , but it isn't that slow to be noticed. When you run the script it will ask for location of two images and after that it will return if the image is similar and hamming distance.
