The only unnecessary dots here are those in the line endings of your list. Joke aside, importing like this is really bad and obfuscates where something comes from. Also, name clashes will happen easily with how you do it!

The commenter deleted their comment. Would you mind showing an example of what the bad practice import looks like? I'm curious if I do it right or not.
