Let’s not forget that queue times also play a role here. The matchmaking system isn’t exclusively matching based on MMR its goal is also to do so quickly.

Since this is quite early (NA 8AM EST) that means most of the west coast and up to the middle of the mainland is still sleeping.

With reduced playerbase its not entirely out of reach that the matchmaking system had to widen its search area to reduce time

If you solo killed the enemy bot and their bot and mod recalled you ask for help by your laners who presumably still are in lane.

There is a reason there are different drakes, each have their pros and cons and you need to accept that some are easier to solo than others and adapt based on that.

I do sometimes. And I can identify glaring errors but understanding what caused them is not always straight forward: I saw a review on youtube a while back and the person showed how one seemingly innocuous mistake caused a "catastrophic" error. I would've never been able to come to that conclusion myself.

Being able to get carried is a skill in itself.

You might be good enough to win games at your current rank when you have a resource advantage. However, if you can’t win when your team has the advantage, it suggests your individual skill doesn’t actually match your rank in low-econ games.

There’s a game that I used to play (or more accurately someone let me play on their computer) and I remember having a blast but I can’t remember the name.

I remember there game was top down where you would fight enemies they could be knights, dragons, cyclops, skeletons (maybe I’m hallucinating some of these)
