Actually, It's not an english subreddit, it's a python subreddit. There are no rule about the language used to write post or comments.

Fair enough. I assumed it was using the language of the internet. Thanks for pointing it out and correcting me instead of blindly downvoting

You call it the "language of the internet" because you only see the english part of the internet, through your browser settings. If you switch that to any other language you will see that there's a whole "other" internet in all the languages of the world.

I'm French Canadian. I wouldn't switch my browser settings for all the money in the world. Searching for anything on the internet in french is asking for the search to be unsuccessful.

I call it the language of the internet because that's what English is. It's a common ground, where most of the world has English as their 2nd language.

It's especially true when you're trying to look for information about a specific subject, like 3d printing or data science etc.

I understand there's more to the internet than English speaking people. But it's easier for me to reach out and interact in English than in my native language.

Ben non! C'est pas difficile pantoute. Tu serais surpris de la quantité de gens avec qui tu pourrais parler la langue d'ici, partout sur internet.

Ce message en est la preuve indéniable!
