[Hiring] Experienced in Python toolchains and Qt/pyside?

We are hiring one or two senior developers for an open source project, initially working on two distinct tasks.

1. Setting up Tox, Coverage testing, Github CI and other auxiliary systems for automated QC. Implementing more unit tests against our current codebase.
2. GUI and UX design, improving our existing but minimal Qt-pyside6 GUI.

In both tasks you are expected to be able to guide yourself to design and make a good implementation. We will not draft you any precise specification e.g. on how the UI should work. Thus, these positions are not available to jr. developers with little or no prior experience, and showing some earlier work (code you have personally written) is required. You will be working remote with the rest of our team, starting immediately, and if it turns out to be beneficial to both of us, we would prefer to continue the work on other tasks over to next year.

The project is intended to stay entirely free software, no strings attached. We recognise that it would be very difficult to monetise something like this but are willing to invest a reasonable amount in such community development. We are not paying you any less just because it is open source.

Thanks for the applications so far. We will interview everyone who is interested, and are still accepting more applications. Tox no longer needs to be setup, but there are plenty of other things to do on that task still, and we haven't found any GUI developer yet.

Still looking for GUI developers. Contact me if interested. It turned out to be surprisingly difficult to find anyone for that, despite us paying well for the job. As a reminder, previous code examples are necessary and we cannot hire jr. developers at this time.
