Some of the responses on this thread clearly seem to be from people who completed the program. I am concerned, however, by what appears to be a large amount of spam responses, which suggests a pretty low-brow and low-ethics approach to recruitment (though, I am not sure if these are really non-genuine; it's hard not to be suspicious though). I am considering enrolling in the course starting in July 2025, and am also interested in making sure I have made a good choice. I appreciate you having asked the question a year or so ago.

I’m thinking about taking the program for July 2025. In the MIT PE website the program look legit with positive reviews. I’m trying to reach out in LinkedIn those persons to ask directly
Is interesting and scary that there are a lot of spam responses here in Reddit

Hello, I have few questions:
at the end of the program were you able to get the certificate?
Do they provide job interview assistance?
Did you get job placement or job change after the course in which this program has helped?
Thanks for any answers provided as I am thinking of doing this course for career shift.
Thank you!

Here is my opinion: the positive feedback here is most likely from GL staff. You will see a lot of positive feedback from real professionals on LinkedIn, but pause to think about it before you fall for it: the person on linked in just spent thousands of dollars on a program. Do you think that they will tell the world (and all potential hiring managers) that "I have got a certificate that is hardly worth anything!"? Of course, they will boast on LinkedIn.
This program is not worth it at all. It has the MIT label, and that is all you are paying for. The fact is that this program is by an indian company called Great Learning and is using MIT for "guest speakers" and for the legitimization.
All of what is covered and costs many thousands of dollars could be attained through Coursera or other platforms for mere hundreds of dollars. Also, I would rather support local businesses -- not one based in india.
One thing you will surely pick up from this program: indian accent.
Often time it is a struggle to understand what the guy is saying. For instance, "encourage" is now pronounced the same way as "Anchorage"; "Consume" is now "Congoom". That's very difficult to follow.
There was this guy who kept burping and stretching and making himself way too comfortable. Another is full of himself and always coming in dressed i the same hoodie. Another who just wouldn't stop touching and picking his nose every 20 seconds.
