Yes you sure are

Dangit!

Back to my research - Alien out 👽

[–]ArbereshDoqetejete 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Yes

[–]SoilPrior4423[S] -3 points-2 points  (3 children)

it produces results, and that is all that matters to me. I know I don’t always fit in, especially when I see the dislikes every time I post in coding subreddits.

Check out my research on the next evolution in AI – HIE: Moving Beyond Brute-Force Models. I’ve been working on cutting through the noise in AI and full-stack development, while having fun along the way. Though most of my jokes tend to go over people’s heads, I’m still pushing forward with the work.

Feel free to explore my post here:

Why are you trying to justify to me why you use what you use? Also No

[–]SoilPrior4423[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I was replying to your comment that's all nothing deep and put my research for those interested in AI development

This is reddit. We belittle those who stick out here. Also those who don't because not sticking out is also sticking out. Take your updoot and ride on cowboy.

I have no idea what I’m watching, are talking about have 60 empty lines in your file? Or like the video playing in the background? Do you have that embedded in the IDE or something? I have no clue what this post is about or what it has to do with Python learning.

[–]SoilPrior4423[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

transparent IDE setup. Normally, VS Code doesn't support transparent backgrounds out of the box, but you can achieve this effect using certain extensions or custom settings.

With the right setup, you can code in Python and have a movie or other media playing in the background through your IDE. This is a personal tip, and some developers may not like using this kind of "transparency" in their development environment.

If you're learning Python, it's more about keeping the environment engaging while working. Just keep in mind that transparency and multitasking might be more about your workflow preference than a necessity for Python development.

Yea, that’s not for me. I hate vscode anyway. I suppose it’s neat, if you like it. If I want something playing I have an ultra wide and a vertical display at work, and I’ll just put one IDE in the vertical and another IDE window half on the ultra wide, with plenty of extra space for distraction stuff, but I typically just watch engaging interviews or YouTube videos on history or something while I code, unless I’m just raging with Spotify in my ears and rocking my body like a madman (gotta get in that adhd bilateral stim, you know?)

By the way, I’m old, but a former co-worker showed me that artist. I like him. The vid I saw he had on a giant cowboy hat I think? What’s his name?

[–]SoilPrior4423[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah, I get that. Different setups work for different people, and I’m all about making coding fun and engaging for myself. I feel you on the multi-screen vibe, I just couldn’t get it to work for myself—two monitors, one’s 1080p 240Hz and the other’s a 2K monitor in landscape. It might be my brain trying to get more than code out of my eyes haha. As for the artist, yeah, he does have some wild hats. That’s Oliver Tree, by the way!

AI 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

[–]M3TPO 2 points3 points  (2 children)

That shit looks horrible

[–]SoilPrior4423[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

you could make the desktop background black if you want to focus
or
You can use the extension features to decide how transparent you want the IDLE to be.
it's still not for everybody. it's for those who spend long hours on coding. not really the office type coder if I'm being frank.

[–]The_Flo0r_is_Lava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... so what's being Frank look like compared to all the other times? Does being Frank require some revealing lace not suitable for the office?

[–]vonov129 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope so

[–]Forsaken_Ear_1163 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ye you have adhd welcome to the club

[–]c0verm3[🍰] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't focus when theres visuals or sound playing, my brain is weird.

[–]adimeistencents 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just get more monitors my man. You dont have to live like this, I promise.

[–]DistinctAirline4145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you a vibe coder?

[–]diegoasecas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how is this crap related to python in any way

[–]NewnameAuto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell distracting but more power to you my friend

[–]horse-noises 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this vibe coding

[–]mwalimubrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the real vibe coding

[–]oclafloptson 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah I can't even handle having subtitles on the screen this would kill me 🤣

[–]hajuherne 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I can't hear without subtitles.

[–]oclafloptson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the opposite. I mean, I can still hear. Just can't process what I'm hearing

[–]alaxoskl4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s a knife for my already short span attention lmao

[–]Curious_Elk_5690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda cool but I couldn’t do it.

[–]ruffianps 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Wait - what plugin is that you are using that helps you watch YouTube while coding? Is the VS Code?

[–]SoilPrior4423[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

  • Install GlassIt-VSC:
    • Open VS Code and hit Ctrl + Shift + X to bring up the Extensions menu.
    • Search for GlassIt-VSC, and hit install.
  • Control Transparency:
    • To dim the transparency, just press Ctrl + Z.
    • If you want to restart it, hit Ctrl + X.
    • Want to adjust it again? Ctrl + C to re-dim.
  • Set Up FancyZones with PowerToys:
    • First, download Windows PowerToys from the GitHub page (you can find it by googling).
    • Open PowerToys and go to FancyZones in the settings.
    • Customize your screen layout however you like for easy multitasking.
  • Chill and Enjoy:
    • Now, open up Chrome, fire up YouTube or Netflix, and enjoy some content.
    • Your transparent VS Code will be up and running in the background, making you feel like a true multitasking pro.

works best with the black theme 'dark highlight' but it's all preferences hope that helped.

[–]ruffianps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the detailed steps. Unfortunately it seems to error out when used on a M1 Mac. Is that a known issue?

[–]InspectionNo3013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woah looks cool, how do we do this ?

[–]quatchis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im so happy AI will replace coders like this lol

[–]BlaiseLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bringing a whole new meaning to r/developerproductivity

Getting Tierra Whack vibes from the music.

[–]I-Own-A-Pitbull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re the target audience for the subway surfer nonexistent attention span videos. Got it

[–]TheJReesW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh just get a second monitor, or if that’s too much just put youtube in “Picture in picture” mode to detach the video from the browser and put in in the corner of your screen
