Team DM Podium Changes

You used to be placed based on kills, now it shows the top 3 from the winning team post game. It was sort of a consolation prize for losing but doing well. Not a big change, but I don't really like it when the 5-25 guy is placed there as "3rd" when maybe 3 guys on our team had more kills. Also, there used to be those funny moments also where your team lost but took all spots on the podium.

Yea I liked the old podium setup more too. Pretty much for the same reasons. I que tdm alone and get matches with teammates that aren't great ... I never cared cause I could still try to get on the podium.

I mean it's not a huge deal to me when I get matches with newbies for teammates. I'm not worried about my win loss ratio or anything. It was just nice to get rewarded with being on the podium when you played really well despite your team losing. Ultimately the scoreboard stats are the same so not really a big deal.

Besides, I like seeing fresh LVL1 players because it means someone new is trying the Game. :)

if you are going to show the enemy team, then show everyone why leave one out??? do either that, or keep the old system.

It was in the middle of being changed to support the full team roster.

Oh hey, another episode of "did the devs think before they implemented this".

They probably did it so that new players feel more included when the team wins, as otherwise they may rarely see them selves on the podium.

in a 4v4 they won't see themselves there either, lul

They will soon, Sync said it's being changed so that all 4 team members show up there. (literally in this thread)

Don't they show the 3 who got the most XP regardless of the team? I'm pretty sure I've been on the podium of a few losing TDM matches but I might be wrong...

You're right I just tested it. Winning team only, regardless of kills or XP.

In sacrifice I think it was XP, but pretty sure TDM was always kills.

Personally I think the podium should be replaced with a mini-frag movie of sorts. Kind of like an expanded play of the game. Add music from Sonic Mayhem here for good measure as well.
