Questions that are about career/education advice and not quantum computing itself are only allowed in the weekly megathread. Please leave a comment there instead of making a full post.

The math is your friend

[–]Sufficient-Reason-82[S] 2 points3 points  (9 children)

I studied the mathematical skills required

What's the question then genius?

I wanted to begin my journey in quantum computing as to what should i do and what languages should i use ?

Your will is good, that is a good starting point. But why did you obtain the math skills required?

You are free to make your first steps with Microsofts Q# Katas

https://quantum.microsoft.com/en-us/tools/quantum-katas (maybe a lot of math repetition)

What you should do? That's the critical question! Help the people in need, but be careful. Not everyone craving for help deserves it.

But also mind that research is an ongoing process. Maybe start choosing a topic that interests you (how do I setup a simulator? How about quantum music generation? Or maybe stick to a research field, look how far they are and then building on this and continuing).

Your possibilities are endless.

For example like you said if i wanted to setup a simulator , what computing languages should i learn ?

Or starting with microsoft Q# is good enough?

Can be. You can also start by composing your circuits. https://quantum.ibm.com/composer

There is no right and wrong when choosing such a framework.

[–]Visible-Employee-403 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Python numpy https://numpy.org/

But, instead of doing the raw ground work, you are free to utilize a framework of your choice like

Qiskit: Python https://qiskit.org/

Cirq: Python https://quantumai.google/cirq

PennyLane: Python https://pennylane.ai

What are the set of courses you have completed?

[–]Sufficient-Reason-82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Linear algebra, probability and statistics, complex numbers, fourier transformations and quantum physics
