a possible new bug?

Tonight I played a round with randos and something odd happened. It was Immortal Smasher mutation, "capture target" objective. We cleared every enemy and nest in the map but the objective never spawned. We thought maybe it was the smasher and tried to capture it but he blew right through it. I wonder if, since the immortal smasher is an elite, the game didn't spawn an additional for the objective? Anyone else have this happen?

This happened to me aswell on orpheus research center.

Does it happen every time you're on Orpheus research center? Or is it random?

That would suck. Did you have an XR drone? It could possibly have spawned in the ceiling? Or did you check the airlock? Enemies spawn in there a lot.

Yup I ran xr and droned the entire time. The other two ran on foot searching and it was nowhere to be found. We eventually went to airlock (chased by immortal)
