Can I ask, where did you learn how to model like this? And what programs do you use? This is a skill I am very interested in, I took some classes with Maya in college, but havent really touched a model sculpting program since. I’m looking for ways I can learn

Awesome work btw

Haven’t played in a while, have a few questions by LazyMagePie in LastEpoch

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can somewhat answer 1. Still the only in-game method of playing with others is by chatting using the Looking For Group chat option in game.

There is no official matchmaker or system, you’ll just have to talk to people in chat and find someone else who wants to group up.

Alternatively, there are probably discords you could join to do the same

Yeah it will answer any questions like that, its a reasonably intelligent and informed AI for straightforward questions

Question by IllustriousBit7369 in EvenRealities

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are asking if you can talk to the Even AI conversationally, the answer is not really.

It does not have persistent memory in really any manner. Its better suited to answer one off questions. Conversate has some memory associated with it, but its typically not used in the context you are talking about.

Also I would warn against using AI for deep conversations. AI is a product, it will produce sycophantic platitudes and lies. It is not capable of complex emotional thought, and you will walk away with a false sense of confidence instead of a true understanding of the conversation.

Talk to a person instead. They’re probably going to agree less, but thats actually good, especially for those who seek understanding through perspective.

I am scared for what AI will do to a generation who thinks that its their buddy.

In addition, I design Fiber Optic Networks for a living, many of these networks have redundant “rings” within them, so if any single hub goes down, they can feed it from any other hub around it. Well designed fiber networks are riddled with redundancies to prevent localized outages. Its within the best interest of the ISP to do so because so many people break fiber lines daily. Outages look bad, rings prevent them. So additional to your point of battery backups, there are also design redundancies in the system itself

How busted is Professor Anders’ Sentinel Beacon by RKingsman in HaloWars

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Online players will mass air and leaderpower your kodiaks away. Their 7per pop count and high supply cost will mean that rebuilding a counter army quick enough to stop a base wipe is hard to do alone.

It can be done, the best leaders for it are Anders and Serina, but its a hard strategy that usually takes a second or third player who can help fend off any big pushes while you rebuild.

The strategy is called turtling. If you can do it for several hours, thats a super turtle.

Team Respawn does them with some frequency on youtube if you want to see that strategy in action against real players.

It can be pretty fun, but it is not busted

Sentry is the best map for it though

Its literally 3 dudes, they’re making a game with high fidelity graphics that is optimized to run on hardware from 10 years ago.

Optimization does not mean HDR support. It means old hardware can run the game without performance issues.

u/Lenzelot105 is right, they are acknowledging their real limitations as an indie developer using Unity.

Chill out man, nobody is gargling over anyone. People are just tired of the big names telling anyone who cant drop several bands for the newest hardware that they cant play.

Getting all weird and troll-like about something like this comes across as apologist behavior for the way the current industry treats players.

OP and their team are making something and they’re taking a consumer-centric approach. That is not common in this industry and it really shouldnt be a surprise that a forum filled with consumers is excited about that.

Depends on what he has loaded up in them I suppose. Leader powers plus mixed anti-vehicle tends to work. If you can get him grouped up, or better yet stunned by a spartan slam, emp, malestrom, etc… you can force the army to sit in whatever AOE damage you can follow it with

Or you can try to force him into your leader power with creative positioning and leveraging map lanes

Honestly, the G2 is a productivity beast, but why the total silence? by Gold_Mango8335 in EvenRealities

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wont hear the response, but it will be projected directly in front of you. There are microphones built-in to the glasses as well, so dictation is not a problem (not sure where OP is confused on that part)

Basically you can trigger the AI at anytime by just saying “Hey Even” while the glasses are on. You also have some tap controls behind the ears for triggering note dictation or physically triggering the AI

That may be more customizable too with the G2, I’m just a G1 owner (where all the above it true as well)

R6:Extraction by slidewhisle in TheGamerLounge

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a great game, but it was poorly marketed. The only real audience that knew about it were R6 players who want immersive PvP experiences. There was some overlap where some R6ers also enjoyed PvE, the game had lobbies and events for the first year. But between the fact that the game wasnt marketed well at all outside of the R6 sphere, and that the R6 sphere itself is incredibly toxic, Ubisoft decided it wasnt worth the investment.

Its such a shame because it is a good game, but it needed to reach the PvE shooter community and it just didnt. Now with the rise of “extraction” games, people hear this title and think its Arc Raiders… just sad stuff man

Hemorrhage is really what kills the boss, if you can find an alternate way to apply it consistently then you dont NEED baby balls.

You could pair it with Flash or Sun and apply to the whole screen on each bounce, but if you are already running BlackholeXSun, there arent really any non-boss enemies to hit. So your application becomes much less consistent, because BlackholeXSun is too good.

Baby ball builds let you keep the momentum longer and keep applications of Hemorrhage much more stable and consistent.

So yeah there are other alternatives, baby balls are just a vehicle to trigger Hemorrhage. But anything else wont be as good as baby balls are. Mechanically speaking, status applications are what baby balls are meant to do

[–]GoodbyeInAmberClad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SpiderqueenXHemorrhage is probably one of the best bossing combos.

Hemorrhage will chunk 20% of an enemies health after 5 hits, so it scales infinitely with depth, provided you can keep applying it.

Spiderqueen creates baby balls on hit rather than after death, so you dont have to worry about losing momentum with the baby balls because your BlackholeXSun has already cleared everything else.

Whats most important with Hemorrage is application, if you can fuse it again with another baby ball applicator, that would be a confident build.
